Thats right Pelican family, our very own Artie McCarroll was yesterday awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the community, particularly surf lifesaving. Not only has he held positions as Assistant Bowls Secretary + Coordinator and Committee Member at Pittwater Memorial Men's Bowling Club, he is the current Senior Vice President of Pittwater RSL Bowling Club (since 2013). He has dedicated his whole life to community sports and contributed to every community in which he has lived."
